Make yourself at home in our hotels in Wichita, Kansas. You'll soon be examining American and Russian spacecraft at the Cosmosphere and ordering up your favorite brew in an Old Town bar.

Guests of our hotels in Wichita start exploring the city from the Keeper of the Plains statue, honoring the state's Native Americans, where the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers meet. From here, it's a short drive to many of the city's museums or a quick walk over pedestrian bridges to tree-lined riverfront paths. The Mid-America All-Indian Center and Museum presents frequent programs about Native American history and culture. Works by Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper and Georgia O'Keeffe hang alongside cowboy paintings at the Wichita Art Museum. Nearby, delicate butterflies flit through rose gardens and wildflower meadows at Botanica. For old-fashioned fun, visit the Old Cowtown Museum, where ladies in Victorian dress and men in cowboy hats bring this 19th-century Kansas prairie village back to life.

After museum hopping, head to the brick warehouse district of Old Town, near our hotels in Wichita. Boutiques here sell Native American pottery and jewelry, funky handbags and unique works by local painters. At the Mead Street Gallery, craftsmen demonstrate weaving and painting and you can buy works of art direct from the artists. Guests of our Wichita hotels dine in Old Town's restaurants and bars on filet mignon, burgers and pub grub-and wash it all down with a Wichita-brewed beer.

Stay at our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Wichita to explore aviation history. Restored open-cockpit aircraft, Cessnas and Learjets are on display at the Kansas Aviation Museum airfield. Get an up-close look at the original command module of the Apollo 13 and rare Soviet spacecraft at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center.

my stay

There were some good points to the stay but some things were not great. Things that were not included highchair not having its straps to secure child into the seat, hair in bathtub, and a very hard [More] mattress. I was however pleased that there was a crib in room upon arrival as requested. [Less]
Clean rooms
By Drew17
The rooms are always clean and have never encountered any issue. The staff is very polite at check-in and any time you ask for anything. If you have any questions on places to eat, shop, or looking [More] for something to do the front desk is always willing to give you directions and names of places to visit. [Less]

Beautiful
By texcinrx
This hotel is located next to a pond. The front desk sells duck food and has dog biscuits for the special guests. "Holiday" is a canine that lives on this property. Warms my heart for the [More] establishment to be so pet friendly. Location was perfect for the medical procedure we had schedule at Kansas Medical Center. Took us less than 20 minutes to get between the hospital and the hotel. This is our new favorite hotel. We'll return anytime we need to stay in Wichita. [Less]
great stay

personally this redundant, this is the second time I have answered a survey that in it's prime function covered everything well only to 'demand' something that I consider unnecessary. I can't fathom [More] what you hope to learn. It was a great stay! [Less]
