As a guest of one of our Holiday Inn Express® New Orleans hotels, you'll enjoy the rich history, great music and diverse culture and cuisine of Louisiana's most celebrated city.
Hop on the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and tour the beautiful Southern mansions of the Garden District or spend the day - if not your entire New Orleans hotel stay - wandering the charming streets of the French Quarter. There's art and antiques on Royal Street, trendy boutiques and gift shops on Magazine Street and lively street performers and musicians in Jackson Square. Enjoy a cup of chicory coffee and fresh beignets on the patio of Café Du Monde or duck into one of the Quarter's seemingly hole-in-the-wall restaurants for authentic Creole gumbo and spicy jambalaya. Bourbon Street can be a bit of a tourist trap during the day, but once the sun goes down, New Orleans' famous party district earns its reputation.
Enjoy sugary-sweet rum hurricanes and authentic New Orleans jazz as you dance the night away in Bourbon's legendary bars and clubs.
If you're willing to venture out of the city center during your stay at our New Orleans hotels, stop by one of the above-ground cemeteries. St. Louis is the oldest (dating back to 1789), and its hauntingly beautiful tombs have been featured in major Hollywood movies and works of fiction. Tour groups are your best and safest bet here; although, carriage tours of the cemetery can be a real treat. New Orleans carriage drivers are all certified tour guides, and their knowledge of the city's history and culture, as well as their local flavor and spin are far better than any travel book.
Of course, this is only a sampling of what the Big Easy has to offer our New Orleans hotel guests. Time your visit during Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest to experience the lavish and boisterous festivals that make this city so special.
Overall stay was great, the lock on the bathroom didn't work but that was minor in comparison to my overall stay. Employees were very friendly and asked if there was anything I needed. Great[More] location, I would and will recommend to family and friends[Less]
Decent stay-but a tired building
Overall happy with our stay. The room was nice, however, the exterior of the building showed some issues. The large sign that says "Holiday Inn" was almost entirely burnt out--which just makes it[More] look a bit tired and uncared for. My biggest complaint is that the complimentary airport shuttle did not run early enough for our flight. I would expect being an airport hotel, that would not be an issue. We booked our own transportation to the airport since they didn't start running in time. Lastly, while we did receive our "welcome points", there was no mention of Diamond Elite...this was our first stay since receiving the status, so I don't know what is normal in those circumstances.[Less]
Service was great. Ice machine didn't work. In room clock didn't work.
My only problem was the ice machine on my floor didn't work and I had to go to another floor to get ice. Also, The in room clock didn't work.[Less]
Best bed and great wrap-around balcony
By Shell n Shane
We had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on! I really enjoyed having a wrap-around balcony to sit on and just people watch/relax. The room has a nice amount of space.
The cons, for me, were[More] the valet staff (never offered to help us unload or find a luggage trolley. I tipped them but would have tipped them generously if they’d been more helpful) and the lack of a workout room. I guess walking all around the French Quarter IS exercise but we like to use a workout room when we stay in a hotel.[Less]
Great location and friendly staff.
The location was great! We could easily access all the activities we had planned. The staff was always extremely friendly! Rooms were clean.[Less]
Best location for the money in NOLA
This is now my third or fourth time staying at this hotel- you cannot get a better location for the money in New Orleans. It has the historic charm of a boutique hotel but the reliability of a chain.[More] The staff is excellent and dedicated to your comfort![Less]

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. Cons were :The bed was uncomfortable and the ice machine was dirty. Other than that, I liked the location of the hotel. Very convenient to get to New[More] Orleans. If you get the breakfast option, we thought the breakfast was pretty good and filling. Again the staff for breakfast was nice also.[Less]
