As a guest of one of our Holiday Inn Express® New Orleans hotels, you'll enjoy the rich history, great music and diverse culture and cuisine of Louisiana's most celebrated city.
Hop on the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and tour the beautiful Southern mansions of the Garden District or spend the day - if not your entire New Orleans hotel stay - wandering the charming streets of the French Quarter. There's art and antiques on Royal Street, trendy boutiques and gift shops on Magazine Street and lively street performers and musicians in Jackson Square. Enjoy a cup of chicory coffee and fresh beignets on the patio of Café Du Monde or duck into one of the Quarter's seemingly hole-in-the-wall restaurants for authentic Creole gumbo and spicy jambalaya. Bourbon Street can be a bit of a tourist trap during the day, but once the sun goes down, New Orleans' famous party district earns its reputation.
Enjoy sugary-sweet rum hurricanes and authentic New Orleans jazz as you dance the night away in Bourbon's legendary bars and clubs.
If you're willing to venture out of the city center during your stay at our New Orleans hotels, stop by one of the above-ground cemeteries. St. Louis is the oldest (dating back to 1789), and its hauntingly beautiful tombs have been featured in major Hollywood movies and works of fiction. Tour groups are your best and safest bet here; although, carriage tours of the cemetery can be a real treat. New Orleans carriage drivers are all certified tour guides, and their knowledge of the city's history and culture, as well as their local flavor and spin are far better than any travel book.
Of course, this is only a sampling of what the Big Easy has to offer our New Orleans hotel guests. Time your visit during Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest to experience the lavish and boisterous festivals that make this city so special.
I had visited previously but being able to stay in this new resort was great. The location was great the staff was amazing and friendly. Always welcoming upon every return. Kinda of like being[More] greeted by an old friend. The staff helped me to surprise my husband as this was our 1st vacation without any family or friends since our honeymoon 30 years ago.[Less]

Wonderful place, great customer service
By 1RealLeah
Hotel Indigo in New Orleans is perfectly located in one of my favorite cities, steps away from the French Quarter and surrounded by lots of authentic flavors and music and Louisiana culture. The[More] front desk staff are the epitome of Southern hospitality! The decor was soooo inviting, too, submersing us in gorgeous images and reflections of this amazing city's culture. I felt very safe and accommodated by the staff.[Less]
Great stay!
By Adrienne4122
As other reviews mention, the rooms are tiny. That did not effect us whatsoever considering we did not go to NOLA to spend a lot of time in a hotel room. Beautiful room, and perfectly comfortable[More] just to sleep and shower. The room was spotless and the staff were all very friendly. Only downfall was the parking and the difficulty of finding the correct location.[Less]
Excellent stay
By Cherie Michelle
This was an excellent stay! Great location, fantastic staff (Sarah was exceptional, and Kendrick was as well). Hotel staff excelled with customer service, and the cafe and bar were great at well.[More] Meeting room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Location was convenient to the French Quarter as well as at the corner of a stop for the St. Charles Streetcar.
While I could certainly hear the streetcar outside of my windows, I didn’t have any issues with sleep. However, light sleepers should bring earplugs. Or better yet, perhaps the hotel should leave some in the room (a hotel in Louisville across from the Yum center did this, and it was such a nice touch).
Lobby is comfortable and great for hanging out while waiting to go to dinner. There is also a printer available if you forgot to print a document before your trip.
I’ve travelled often with work, and this has been one of my nicest stays in the last year. I’ve also interacted with quite a few hotel employees, and this has been one of the best groups of hotel employees as well. It is clear that customer service is a priority.
Thanks for a great stay, Hotel Indigo![Less]
Food options

The food options were limited and not overall great for breakfast. Breakfast did not open until 7:00 which is not convenient for business travelers.[Less]
Good Location & Friendly Staff
By SparkleSue
The hotel is conveniently located to some of NOLA's best spots. While some of the rooms were very small, they were clean and well appointed. Staff were the best! Super friendly and very helpful.[Less]
