This is certainly the hotel to choose if you are running the Detroit Marathon. Located at the start/finish line, and the staff were really helpful - especially Kevin at the bell desk. He seemed to be
working around the clock because he was always there to answer our questions and give us good advice! Our room had a non working electric plug in the bathroom we thought the hair dryer was not working but the engineer came to our room with another one and in the process it was determined that the plug was the cause. Also the icemaker on the 11th floor was out of commission. Our biggest issue was parking - for some reason we had to wait almost 3 hours for our car. The desk explained that it was not the hotel's fault, I replied that I could understand that, but did not understand why we were being charged almost $30 for parking when our vehicle was not accessible when we were ready to check out. The desk clerk took $10 off, but still think we should not have been charged at all.
We noted that the hotel extended the hours of the breakfast buffet which was truly thoughtful and gave runners and their families an opportunity to enjoy it after the race. Very nice touch and much appreciated. [Less]
