You'll also find the majority of the city's sports venues here, including Target Arena, stomping grounds for both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lynx (WNBA).
Guests of our downtown Minneapolis hotels will find the Skyway is a convenient means to get around the city, especially in the harsh Minneapolis winters.
This climate-controlled system of pedestrian bridges connects Nicolette Mall, the Block E Entertainment district, Target Center and Minneapolis Convention Center - so you can enjoy the big game, do a little shopping, then finish up with dinner and drinks along Hennepin Avenue - without ever stepping foot outside.

Of course, part of Minneapolis's charm is its natural beauty, and guests of our Minneapolis hotels will definitely want to get out and explore the area's endless lakes and park spaces during the warmer months. The Chain of Lakes is popular with residents and tourists alike, while the beautiful waterfalls and limestone bluffs of Minnehaha Park make it an ideal spot for a hike. WOW!!!
By TyTy
This place is my new place to stay in Minnesota!! Julie has the best customer service period!! She has a personality that will make any guest want to book again just because of her. Nikko made the [More] stay even better for what he did for us. The whole restaurant staff was very nice professional friendly. Honestly the entire hotel staff was great! My only complaint would be that hot tub needed an update the jets on it made me feel like I was just sitting in a hot bath. But other than that A++ [Less]
Great place for baca- but defined adjustments needed.
By cabedin
We had a BLAST at the waterpark this weekend (our daughters are still sleeping off all the energy they blew). With that said, I think it would have been good to know a few things before going there [More] for the first time as well as a few things management maybe should address: First, when I walked into the lobby to check in, I almost felt like I was in the scene of Mean Girls where all the girls were fighting in the hallways of the school and they were acting like jungle animals- it was absolute chaos. I actually asked the employee checking me in if it was always like this- to which she replied "yes, on the weekends". It kinda stunk an hour in as I needed a rubber band (after we were already in our room) and I had to wait for all the wristband buyers just to get a rubber band. I think there needs to be a separate check in for those just getting wristbands OR they have to come pick them up from "this hour to this hour" everyday if coming just to the waterpark for a birthday party (which is my next bullet point). I stood in line with (7-8?) people in front of me, just to check in. I don't think I've ever had that happen before. Also- their internet doesn't work. We used our data the entire time. Third- the ONLY entrance to this place is through the front...which is CRAZY! We were on the third floor and right by a side entrance and had to go to our car a few times as we forgot things and had to go all the way down and around to the front door just to go to our car (in the pouring rain). We ended up (after the 4th trip), to just prop the side door with a dang towel. All it takes is to install a car reader on the side. The last time I went out to my car there was actually an older couple coming in and I told them to use the side door and they thanked me saying "I don't know why they don't have a side door entrance. That is so inconvenient." Fourth- the elevator. Holy moly. With all the people running around. There's one elevator (at least that I knew of)....and it always had a line. So we just started walking up and down the 3 flights of stairs because we were tired of waiting. I guess it was a nice exercise if you want to be positive about it :). Fifth- what we didn't realize is that you can actually go to the waterpark without being a guest at the hotel (which is fine)....however, it would have been nice to have a cut off time for outside guests vs. those who paid to stay the night. Once 6-7 hit, it died down...but still...it would have been nice to have that amenity since we were guests at the hotel. Sixth- we have a 3.5 yr. old and 4 month old so obviously our 4 month old wasn't going to go down the water slide so I held her (in a zip up with pockets so I could hold me and my husbands cell phone, a bottle, a diaper, and some wipes) while my daughter went and had fun with my husband. That said, 80% of the chairs were empty the whole time I stood there, yet every single one had a towel on it "claiming it". So I had to stand, in that hot humid waterpark, with a zip up on, sweating like crazy carrying around everything. I actually had to leave within 15 minutes and go up to the room because I couldn't handle it. It would have been nice to be able to sit down and have her in my lap while I watched my kiddo play. I feel like there needs to be some rules around this- one chair per group....idk what the resolution is, but it was bad how many empty chairs were there and not being used. Again, these are just some recommendations and tid bits I had, we will absolutely be back! It was so much fun and it was just a great night all around :) I hope management sees this and makes the right adjustments to just make it a better experience for holiday inn customers. [Less]

Need more comfortable beds and pillows

I would have slept better if the bed was more comfortable and the pillows were more comfortable and the people upstairs weren't so loud! Otherwise everything else was great! [Less]
