Head skyward on the Sandia Peak Tramway, a mountaintop cable car offering lovely views of Albuquerque after dark, when the lights of the city twinkle and glow below. Our Albuquerque hotels are near the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, which traces the city's early days in displays of silver Native American jewelry, Spanish colonial religious icons and iconic Southwestern landscapes by Ernest Blumenschein and Georgia O'Keeffe. Terracotta pottery and ceremonial dance shed light on contemporary Navajo life at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, near our hotels in Albuquerque.
From our hotels in Albuquerque, you're never far from the narrow, cobbled streets of Old Town, where the city was born two centuries ago. The Old Town Plaza is lined with adobe storefronts and casual restaurants tucked into nooks and passageways. Take your pick of green or red salsa at a patio cafe and dine on inexpensive Southwestern favorites like house-made enchiladas or mesquite-grilled chicken. Browse window displays of colorful kachina dolls and New Mexico landscapes at Old Town galleries. Look for good deals on silver and turquoise jewelry, hand-tooled leather belts and New Mexican spice mixes.
Stay at our Holiday Inn Express hotels in Albuquerque to experience the city's love affair with hot-air balloons. The cornflower-blue skies are filled with masses of colorful balloons in October during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world's largest ballooning event. Any time of year, the history of hot-air ballooning is the focus at the city's Balloon Museum, with 19th-century wicker gondolas and Victorian parachutes on display.
Had everything I look for in an overnight stay: the right price, easy access to road, a good night sleep, and an area to work in the room.[Less]
A very good experience. The only problem we had was with parking. We had a large trailer in tow and it was a bit hard to find a good place to park. All their spaces are set up for single cars.[Less]

My only home when in Albuquerque
I do love this hotel, they do everything to make one feel at home. The only improvements I can see if them adding more handicapped parking, there are only two spots near the front entrance.[Less]
