Featured Brooklyn Hotels

Make yourself at home in our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Brooklyn. You'll soon be strolling beneath the graceful steel strands of the Brooklyn Bridge, enjoying classic New York-style pizza and exploring historic neighborhoods.

Guests of our Brooklyn hotels head for the Promenade, the East River walkway with cinematic Manhattan views. The Statue of Liberty anchors the southern end of New York harbor, while the iconic skyscrapers of downtown Manhattan loom straight ahead. A short walk from the Promenade puts you at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, the first bridge to connect Manhattan and Brooklyn. One block up is Grimaldi's, arguably the best pizza in all of New York City.

Our Brooklyn hotels are close to the Park Slope Fifth Avenue shopping and dining strip. Browse for Brooklyn-branded clothing alongside handmade jewelry, chic housewares and quirky children's toys. Scores of affordably priced restaurants fill the dozen blocks between Union and 9th streets. Take your pick from spicy Thai, five-star Italian, or laidback Spanish tapas. Take an evening stroll along the streets east of 5th Avenue, each lined with historic brownstone houses, before settling into a local bar for a pint from the Brooklyn Brewery. Unwind in Prospect Park, just a quick subway ride from our hotels in Brooklyn. Circle the park on the jogging and biking paths, or join a pickup game of Frisbee on Long Meadow. Prospect Park's Bandshell hosts major concerts during the summer-long Celebrate Brooklyn festival.

Stay at our Brooklyn hotels to discover a new side of the city no matter the season. In winter, there's ice skating at Prospect Park's outdoor rink, and sledding and tubing after a good snowfall. The adjacent Brooklyn Botanical Garden explodes in pink and white flowers for the April Cherry Blossom Festival.

No problems, great place to crash for the night in Manhattan for a good price [Less]
Great quality and value
By MichaelP1982
I stayed at this location on a recent trip to NYC. The quality of the hotel is fantastic for the location and price. The room was up-to-date and clean, and the location had the usual amenities. [Less]
Great room - rude night manager
By Quiltlady 24
Loved the room. I was small but very comfortable with everything we needed. The night manager would not help me find transportation for 4 am except for a expensive car service. He told me all cabs [More] had private numbers (I found one online). I thought his unhelpfulness quite rude. [Less]
Great Location
By AdmitOne
I booked this hotel by mistake. As its wi-fi states this hotel would be more accurately named "Herald Square HIE" I was not happy that the staff thought it was hilarious that I was so sweaty after [More] walking around the city (waiting to get a room assignment). The room was NYC SMALL. I normally take photos of my hotel room but it was so small and I had waited so long to get into my room that I didn't. But, super close to the Empire State Building, Herald Square, Grand Central Station, and a quick walk to Times Square. [Less]
Excellent staff at Front Desk

At check-in, the HIE personnel really set the tone for a pleasurable stay in NYC [Less]
Great location, great pool
By DWW63
If you read the other reviews, this hotel by far wins due to location. You are 1.5 blocks from multiple subway stations. Columbus Circle, Central Park, Whole Foods, all within the same 1.5 blocks. [More] Highly rated restaurants, 3 CVS's, 5 Starbucks, same day drop-off/pick-up laundry service (not just dry cleaning). Everything within a 2 block radius. Extremely safe - 24/7. To be clear - this is an older facility. The elevators are small and slow. The hallways always seem dingy. The lobby interior, remodeled a few years ago is already tired with duct-tape holding down carpeting borders. The roof-top pool, a great bonus, can get crowded. The pool seems to be shared with non-hotel guests (note the "reserved" lounge chairs) for apartment residents. You may see an occasional "pool party" too. Random "Adult Only Swims" are occasionally called out by the GM and his guests - also an interesting dynamic. No pool toys makes it tough to make up kids games leaving the kids to play precariously with the rope that separates the shallow from the deep side. Our "deluxe" room (corner room) was clean but also tired. The AC was set to 55 the entire time we were there and it barely kept the room cool - but it worked. We were in Tower B facing the apartments behind the hotel. Nothing special. Plumbing fixtures were 70's-80's old - like the kids really had to push hard to get the handle on the toilet to flush. But if you can look past the tiredness of the facility and truly appreciate its location, staff and services this is a win-win hotel and you will enjoy your NYC experience. [Less]
Great Location - unfortunately couldn't rest as needed
By tam_coatta
The hotel has a great location, close to subways, close to Columbus Circle and the Central Park, within walking distance (15 minutes walk) of Time Square. The Lobby is very nice and portrays a nice [More] hotel. I was a little surprised with the elevators, because some buttons had their numbers all twisted and the doors were a bit squeaky when they closed. The room is big and well layed out, and the furniture is adequate and seemed new. The bed was soft and the pillows awesome! The staff is very friendly and attentive, but not too proactive in my opinion. I had an issue with kids running outside my room (after 9pm and as soon as 7am). Although I complained and the staff made them stop, after some time, they would resume their running and noise-making. I would have expected someone to come up and stay for a little to guarantee the calmness in the floor or even address the kids parents'. [Less]
