Featured Asheville Hotels

Book a stay in our Holiday Inn Express® Asheville hotels, and explore this Carolina highlands city, set amid the scenic splendor of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains and home to the Biltmore Estate.

During the Gilded Age, the Vanderbilts were so smitten with the beauty of the highlands that they built a house here-an eye-popping 250-room French chateau, to be exact. Now open to the public in all its marbled glory, the Biltmore Estate is conveniently close to our Asheville hotels. Bookworms flock to Old Kentucky Home, the butter-yellow Victorian boardinghouse nearby, where writer Thomas Wolfe grew up.
Pressed for time? Hit the highlights on the budget-friendly 90-minute trolley tour of the city sights.

Our hotels in Asheville are close to the city's percolating restaurant scene. Dine casually on hearty bistro grub in a downtown brewpub and sip a sudsy microbrew crafted here in the city. Or sample "New South" kitchens, where Southern classics are creatively tweaked-like fried chicken in a crunchy crust of mixed nuts. Head to the Friday-night drum circle in downtown Pritchard Park, and stomp your feet to the beat (for free). As a gateway to the mountains, Asheville is a great place to shop for Appalachian pottery and other reasonably priced local crafts.

No matter what season you stay in our Asheville hotels, you're never far from splendid highlands scenery. In spring granite peaks are blanketed in scarlet rhododendron. In fall forests along the Blue Ridge Parkway blaze in yellows and reds. Mountain streams cascade down sunny hillsides in summer. During winter holidays Biltmore is decorated tip to toe in dried roses from its summer gardens.

Stay at our Holiday Inn Express Asheville hotels to discover the charms of this easygoing mountain beauty and its array of excellent, affordable eateries.

Visit to Asheville

This was a nice hotel with friendly staff. Not much of a view from the room but it was clean for it's age. What food we eat from the bar was good. Very close to downtown only about a 5 to 7 minute [More] drive. Also very close to Biltmore Estate maybe only 10 minutes. Only one pool in the main hotel and the other pools where down the hill by the tennis court. Therefore, we did not use them. We ran a fairly busy schedule and if we had more time I'm sure we would have taken the time to walk or ride down the hill only a few hundred yards away. Overall, the hotel was nice and the price was fare. We will be back again near the holidays and I would likely stay here again. [Less]
