If you like Holiday Inn Expresses you've stayed at before, I'm betting you'll really like this one.
An uncommonly wide/good selection of breakfast items raises the bar on most HIEs while the
heated indoor pool makes me wish it was a standard amenity at all HIEs.
Location is listed as both a pro and con since it's close to downtown but has just one entrance and exit, which can cost you some time turning around if you miss it. On the other hand, it's also right across the street from a grocery store so you can combine trips.
My status was recognized on check-in and getting a room upgrade was no problem. While the room itself wasn't anything special it did have pull-down blackout curtains that didn't let ANY light in so we all slept well. They also seemed good about allowing late checkouts.
In short, this is an older hotel so some of the decorations may not be as fancy as the newer locations, but the features are all there and I'd recommend it anytime. [Less]
