Make yourself at home in our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Florence. In no time you'll sampling sweet local pecans or exploring the history of cotton along the South Carolina Cotton Trail.
This bustling South Carolina city is famous for being the home of Young Plantations, where groves of tall pecan trees produce flavorful varieties of pecans. Our Florence hotels put you near the Young Plantations Outlet store, where you can sample pecans unadorned or in gourmet flavors, and buy your favorites to take home. See colorful folk art paintings by native son William H. Johnson, part of the collection of fine art at the Florence Museum. King cotton long fed the fortunes of the rural South, and a trip along the South Carolina Cotton Trail is an enlightening step into the state's plantation past. Explore museums, homesteads and cotton fields in the market towns along the Cotton Trail, which starts in nearby Bishopville, a short drive from our Florence hotels.
For a down-home taste of South Carolina, stop by Willis Produce and Country store, which sells such local fare as boiled peanuts, country ham and homemade jams and jellies. Shop for bargains at the weekend Florence Flea Market, or buy fresh strawberries and bouquets of flowers at the Pee Dee State Farmers Market, open year-round. Sample barbecue, South Carolina style, at the steaming buffet table at Roger's Bar-B-Q House. After a good night's sleep at one of our Florence hotels, check the calendar for current musical and theatrical performances at the brand-new Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center.
Book your stay in our Holiday Inn Express Florence hotels in November for the Pecan Festival in downtown Florence, or in June for aeronautic acrobatics at the Pee Dee Air Show and Festival.

I have to say that I have pros and cons for this location.
Pros-Excellent customer service and cheap food options within the store.
Cons-Room had some paint spots that appeared old. Bathroom[More] tub appeared to be stained. We were given a smoking room when we requested a non-smoking room. Luckily, we did not smell any cigarettes in our room. Hotel lacked vegan options on the breakfast as well as in the hotel store.[Less]
