Good value near the interstate 26 and 85
By napaktown
Working an event about 20 miles away, this was a last minute choice and I'm glad we found this hotel. The room/amenities were a good value. Things to be aware of would be the parking, there are [More] only single space parking spots. If you are pulling a trailer like we were you will have to either park by the road (not recommended) or find a few spots at the end of the lot to park across. fortunately there were enough spots available to park this way and given there were no rooms available I would assume this is normally the case. If you're pulling more than a 20 ft. trailer though, you may have to park in the movie theatre lot next to the hotel. The only other thing that stood out during our stay was the breakfast area. The sound of shoes sticking to the floor was very noticeable. There were not enough tables for the number of people having breakfast when we were there. However, the thing that I remember most is the woman working the breakfast area who looked like she would rather be anywhere else in the world. Her obvious frustration with her environment did not encourage us to ask for anything. At one point during breakfast I went to get flatware after plating my food. There were no more forks and though I was courteous and tried smiling at her, hoping maybe some pleasantness would help, when I asked if there were anymore forks available she just turned around and started digging through the cabinet. When she found them she started filling the container. I don't mind having to wait a moment for her to pull them out, or even so much that she didn't hand one to me, but some sort of verbal response would have been nice. The food was what you typically find in a complimentary buffet and if you remind yourself it's "free" and convenient, you should be happy with it. The rest of the staff were very courteous and we had no other issues. Overall a decent weekend. [Less]
