Most visitors to this central square opt to sit beneath shaded verandas sipping iced sweet tea and dining on barbecued pulled-pork sandwiches or chicken-fried steak. Market Square antiques shops draw in window-shoppers with 19th-century silver sets and primitive Southern crafts, while boutiques go modern with chunky costume jewelry and tailored leather jackets. After hours, enjoy a cool evening breeze while sampling a glass of Tennessee whiskey.

Always a great stay
By calan63
I have frequently stayed at this hotel when on business in and around the Knoxville area. The location is one I feel comfortable in and the hotel physical appearance and atmosphere is always pleasant [More] to me. The staff are always very professional and friendly, and the few times I have had any small issues, they are quick and attentive to address them. The rooms are always comfortable, and I sleep well when I'm here. I don't always have the opportunity to eat in the hotel restaurant, but when I do, it's usually breakfast, and the quality of the food, for me, is always very good. The rooms I've stayed in and the bathrooms have always been clean and the beds comfortable. I would definitely recommend. [Less]

Great facility

Our welcome upon arriving set the pleasant tone for the evening The room was up to high IHG standards and in a quiet area, but still close to the interstate and near a lot of restaurants. I would [More] stay here again without a second thought. [Less]
OK for passing through
By Restless Vagabond
We've never stayed at a Candlewood Suites before but the price was right. We were just passing through on our way home from a trip out west and just wanted a clean place to sleep. Front desk staff [More] were very nice and accommodating. However, the lobby area is in dire need of a makeover. Check-in area is cramped and gives the impression of a cheesy hotel. My husband and I were walk-ins, having checked the price first on the internet, but we were a bit hesitant after seeing the lobby. It was late and we really didn't want to be driving around searching for a hotel all night. The room was quite large and clean, with the exception of the tile floor in the bathroom which really needed a good scrubbing. The tub and counter area were fine. The free laundry would have been great if we were only halfway through our trip but our next stop was home. For the price, we were OK with it. [Less]
Nice pet friendly hotel
By ihtfp17
Overall, our stay at Candlewood Suites was good. The property is a bit dated but the fact that they have a very small pet deposit and the rooms are clean make up for that fact. [Less]
