We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express in Cuero, TX as we were attending a family wedding nearby and we are IHG patrons. This facility lived up to the usual IHG standard of comfortable beds, pillows,
rooms, etc. except more attention needs to be paid to room maintenance. I do realize that a lot of these issues are only known to the staff if the customers report them but as a former business owner I do think the Maintenance Personnel should periodically check the rooms to see if there are things that need attention and repair. On this particular stay, we came in Friday night from rehearsal and were ready to settle down for the night. We turned on the TV and found that it did not work correctly. I tried to call the Front Desk and the phone did not work. I went down to the Front Desk and the clerk came up to check the TV; the best he could offer us was to change rooms. We were ready to watch a wind down for the night, not change rooms--WHY NOT CHANGE OUT THE TV.
He told us Maintenance would not be there on Saturday but he would notify the Manager........this issue was not resolved during our stay there. Also, the stopper in the bathtub was broken so you could not draw water up to take a bath and 3-4 of the anti-slip treads in the tub are missing and the tub is very slick! [Less]
