Featured Houston Hotels

Houston is the largest city in Texas and fourth largest city in the United States. Due to its sprawling layout and unconventional city planning, it's not considered a major tourist destination.
However, guests of Houston hotels will find the city has plenty to offer - a revitalized downtown area with new light rail transportation, professional athletics clubs, a stellar performing arts scene and no shortage of family friendly activities.

Houston is one of five cities with resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines (opera, ballet, music and theater), and guests staying in our downtown Houston hotels will enjoy our proximity to the Houston Theatre District.
A short walk or Metro ride away is the Houston Museum District.
Here, you'll find the Houston Zoo, Contemporary Arts Museum, Holocaust Museum and famed Menil Collection. If you only have time for one museum during your Houston hotel stay, we recommend the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
This airy and modern complex boasts great Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Renaissance pieces and an outdoor sculpture garden by famed Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi.

If you prefer major sports to masterpieces, head to Reliant Park, Houston's premier sports, entertainment and convention complex.
Depending on the season, you can watch the Astros play on their home turf or catch your favorite band in concert.

Houston also offers a wide variety of attractions the whole family can enjoy, including the downtown Aquarium, Houston Zoo and Six Flags Splashdown.
The Houston Space Center is collaboration between NASA and Disney's Imagineering team and well worth the 30-minute drive from the city center.
Tour the world's best collection of spacesuits in Astronaut Gallery, experience life aboard a space station, or head to Blast Off Theatre to simulate a NASA rocket launch.

Who said Houston wasn't much of a tourist town?
With all these great attractions and entertainment venues, the hardest part might be deciding where you want to be and which of our great Holiday Inn Express hotels in Houston to choose.

Awesome service. My husband and I brought my mother for a birthday outing. We enjoy visiting this area. The hotel price was reasonable for such a short notice for a weekend excursion. [Less]

1st Dance Competition
By Momma
We were in town for a dance competition. Got a first floor room which at first I thought would be loud but it wasn't. Also worked so my daughter could practice her Irish step without bothering a room [More] below. The staff was friendly. Felt fairly safe since didn't have husband with me. Was a little unsettled when we came in from getting dinner and no one was at the front desk but there was a man standing in the lobby. The place is set back from the interstate so there was no car noise. Beds seemed to be a little old. Were creaky and a little soft. TV, cable and internet were good. The bathroom and room were smaller then expected and from previous stays at other HIEs but slept good for not being in my own bed. Daughter placed in all her dances so it was a good weekend. [Less]

A long day turned better.
By Haulsafely27
As a frequent traveler, you have varying experiences at hotel restaurants/bars. After a long and frustrating day working away from home, all I wanted to do is get some food, watch a game and have a [More] beverage or two. Didn't have very high expectations for the normal hotel bar staff I am used to being in contact with. Kimberly was a breath of fresh air. She did a phenomenal job attending to everyone in the place while also handling room service, and did everything you could hope for to make the experience a good one after what was a rough day. Clean hotel, friendly staff
By Gads77
The only downfall to this property it's the Hvac system. There is one vent in the middle of the room that blows directly on you while you sleep. Unless you like to wake up from it blowing on you I [More] recommend turning it off before you go to sleep. [Less]
