Everything with our stay was fine until we went to breakfast. Breakfast was to run until 10 AM. We got up late and sprinted to get downstairs before 10 AM. We got there with 15 min. to spare.
Unfortunately, the woman working the breakfast area had already put up many of the items that are normally available. When I asked for something, meaning she had to go get it from the back because it had already been put away I was lectured on how breakfast ends at 10 AM. I clearly understood what that means and having come from a customer service background in full-service restaurants I could not fathom how she felt it acceptable to start tearing down any of the breakfast area before the end of breakfast had come to an end at 10 AM and while people (we were not the only ones to arrive at this time) were still coming in to eat, let alone lecture me on the time when it was not yet 10. If the policy is to actually begin removing the breakfast items before breakfast time is officially over then perhaps the front desk should point this out instead of having one of their guests encounter such poor customer service. We were finishing up when it turned 10 and nearly everything was put away by that time. I have stayed at this particular location two other times, including for my wedding when we brought in over 100 other guests and never encountered any issues until now but this seems completely unacceptable. I was going to mention this issue to the front desk staff while checking out but I could not find anyone and just left. [Less]
