Make yourself at home in our hotels in Alexandria, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. You'll soon be tracing American history in Old Town and feasting on George Washington's favorite meal at Gadsby's Tavern.
Guests of our hotels in Alexandria take to the streets in true colonial fashion-on foot. Stroll the residential blocks north and south of King Street, down cobblestone lanes lined with Federal-style homes. In a day's wandering you'll pass Robert E. Lee's childhood home, George Washington's house of prayer at Christ Church and the Carlyle House, setting for intense negotiations over taxation between British officials and colonial governors. The Alexandria Black History Museum celebrates the contributions of African Americans toward the growth of the city. Pick up a free walking-tour pamphlet here of the city's historical African American landmarks.
Local artisans blow glass, spin pottery and invite the curious to watch in open studios at the Torpedo Factory. King Street's turn-of-the-century brick storefronts are now high-end boutiques and antique shops. Guests of our Alexandria hotels will find a variety of cuisines to choose from along King Street, though the kiosks and stalls of the Torpedo Factory Food Pavilion easily satisfy with pizza slices, cheese-stuffed Salvadoran corn cakes and freshly blended smoothies. Gadsby's Tavern has been sating the appetites of Alexandrians with hearty steaks and shepherd's pie since the late 1700s. Legend has it that George Washington's favorite dish was Gadsbys' succulent roast duck.

Nice new hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Location is great for walking to most sites in Old Town. Great location on the riverfront, but our room had no view other than patio and brick wall[More] (probably based on price selection). Signage for room location are not yet installed and would have been helpful.[Less]
Great river view but please put garden/outside restaurant in old P-lot
By Happy Lady
We had a riverfront room which was nice but there just below us was an old beat up parking lot which marred the view. Not worried about coming back as I know the hotel is new and that improvements[More] will follow soon. Great additional potential but great experience in any case![Less]
