Featured Williamsburg Hotels

Colonial America lives and breathes in the beautifully restored and re-created 18th-century city of Williamsburg. Stay in our Holiday Inn Express® Williamsburg hotels and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and flavors of 1770s America.

The heart of Colonial Williamsburg's 300-acre Historic Area is a living-history village where the industry of colonial life is re-enacted on a daily basis. Listen for musket shots in the distance as horse-drawn carriages clip-clop through cobblestone streets. Skilled tradesmen forge iron in the Blacksmith Shop and bind books in the Printing Office. The impressive brick Capitol building lies at the end of Duke of Gloucester Street; this is a likely spot to see revolutionary "firebrands" engaging in passionate street-theater scenes. Festive balls were held in the opulent Governor's Palace before the British were driven out for good in 1775. From our Williamsburg hotels, it's a short drive to Jamestown, America's first permanent English settlement, and the Yorktown Battlefield.

Enjoy a colonial-style meal in one of the restored taverns in the Historic Area, a short drive from our hotels in Williamsburg. At Kings Arms, Chownings or Shields taverns, sample such hearty 18th-century fare as meat pies and braised venison. Drink it down with a stout ale, much like the ones favored by the founding fathers. You can take home the beautiful crafts you see made in the shops, from handcrafted leather to willow baskets. Or hit the city's numerous outlet shops near our Williamsburg hotels, the biggest of which is Williamsburg Premium Outlets. You can spend the morning in an 18th-century bubble and then shop the afternoon away on 21st-century bargains.

Book a stay in our Williamsburg hotels and travel back to a pivotal time in American history, when the country was in its infancy and revolution was in the air.

Great Stay!
By Pam2002
We had a great stay, originally I booked at another hotel but after seeing it I decided we were not going to be staying there! I went online and booked your hotel and it was great and so easy! Your [More] staff are wonderful. Breakfast was great and we were well taken care of by Roma and Jazzy who were so special to everyone! They asked my name the first day and remembered everyday! they both remembered what we all had to drink and brought them as soon as we arrived in the dining room. Such a pleasure to have happy, friendly staff who seem to enjoy their jobs. [Less]
Must stay
By Bmel
The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. They were swift with check-in and answered all of our questions. The location is very close to buckroe beach, the air and space Muesem, restaurants [More] and other attractions. It's in a safe location to be able to walk the town at night and get a cool breeze. The only downfall is that breakfast is not complimentary. [Less]

Amenities

Love the amenities such as the bowling volleyball nets and three pools. I just think if you stay in the signature room you shouldn't have to pay for the mini golf or the bowling. [Less]
Great room for the family
By Dad1977
The room was great for the family. Very open and had everything we needed. I am not sure about the value. If you are looking for just a room to sleep then go down a 1/4 mile to the Holiday Inn [More] Express. If you will spend time at the resort then it was nice place. [Less]
Great Family Vacation!
By laura26
It rained all 5 days that we were in Williamsburg, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the Williamsburg Resort. We bowled, we played video games, we watched movies, and played new board games. [More] Basically, we had a great time as a family. The staff was friendly and made excellent recommendations. We actually were planning to come back again with our extended family. [Less]
