Just passing through
My wife and I drive from Connecticut to Tennessee several times a year to see family. We stop at this hotel as it’s a halfway point for us. It’s always a clean comfortable friendly hotel.
Better than average hotel with only minor problems
In town for a family funeral. We usually stay in Woodstock but have never stayed at this hotel before and thought we would try somewhere new. The hotel is large and has plenty of room. It was easy
to park and get to your room. The check in employee told us right away the best place to park and enter to get to room quickly. Room was spacious and clean and fairly modern. Beds and pillows comfortable but for winter there were not enough blankets or heavy enough comforters for the bed. We all stayed pretty cold throughout the night. Bathroom compact but easy to move around in. We had issues with the toilet filling and flushing. We called the front desk and someone came and fiddled with it but it didn't fix it. Every other time we used the toilet we had to take the tank lid off and mess with it which was really annoying. One of our bathroom towels had a hole in it but everything seemed clean. Ice machine on our floor was broken and the ice bucket lid was filthy so I wasn't real excited to use it any way. Went to get bottles of water out of the soda machine and they were all sold out. We didn't realize there were machines on other floors and drove to the store to get our water; which was inconvenient. Employees were nice and friendly. Breakfast was average but nothing tasted really great--all just so so stuff. Breakfast area was roomy and wasn't crowded so that was good. Decent stay and a pretty nice hotel with friendly employees. The few hiccups we had though didn't make it seem like we were getting a good value for our money though. [Less]
