I've stayed at this Holiday Inn Express a dozen times. The staff are really excellent. The facilities are clean (no dust stripes around the edges of the rooms like I've seen in many other places).
The beds are pretty comfortable too. They pretty much only have pre-packaged sugary-oatmeal and conventional fruit for those trying to stay away from eating foods with animal products in them. But the fact that they have that makes it a lot more hospitable toward vegans than the most of the rest of Wisconsin and Minnesota. The TV screens are really bright, which tells my brain it's daylight and inhibits my ability to produce melatonin, I have to force myself to shut the TV off early in the evening if I hope to get a few hours of sleep. And when it snows, try to get to bed early, because their snow removal contractor likes to plow the parking lot at 4:25AM. All of the rooms have mini-fridges, which is nice, but only their premium rooms have microwaves. I really like the easy chair and ottoman in the room. Those are nice touches, and there is plenty of lighting if you need it. I particularly love access to the hot-tub and heated pool after knee nocking in the -20 degree F artic blasts of north Midwest winters. That makes it feel soooo good! [Less]
