Quartz Mountain Nature Park is a great way to spend a day during your trip to Altus. Our hotel is only 20 minutes from this park where you can swim, fish or boat on the lake and hike or rock climb in the park. Or, just relax and enjoy the natural beauty.

During your stay at our Altus hotel, be sure to see the "Vision Seeker" statue in downtown Altus, just two miles away. This bronze statue, inspired by our local Native American heritage, is a life-sized warrior looking into the sunrise or sunset.

No trip to Altus is complete without a tour of the Museum of the Western Prairie, just two miles from our hotel. Exhibits highlight the history of the area from its origins to Native American settlement to the Depression and Altus Air Force base and up to the present day.

Summers on the Oklahoma plains can be very hot with average highs near 100. Winter days are usually much cooler with highs in the 50s and lows in the 20s. Be sure to check the forecast to be prepared.
