Before you leave, make sure you visit Discovery Canyon Park which is a free play area featuring bubbling pools of water, tube floating, trickling rivulets, and a spray pool. There are many beautiful parks surrounding Red Deer, all connected by trail systems within forested areas throughout the city.

With easy access to Edmonton and Calgary get tickets to see either Edmonton Oilers or Calgary Flames NHL hockey teams. During summer see the Edmonton Eskimos or Calgary Stampeders CFL teams. Or see one of the world’s largest and best displays of dinosaurs at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller.

During the warm season, play a round of golf at Balmoral, Red Deer, Cobblestone or River Bend Golf courses. Participate in Edmonton city’s largest festivals; Edmonton Folk Music Festival and Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival. During the snow season, enjoy the activities at the Ski and Snowboard Resort Red Deer.
