Beware of the Florida tollroads. If you are renting a car and traveling along the tollroads to Tampa or Sarasota, take advantage of the "Sunpass" to avoid unnecessary fees from the rental car company. They can be purchased at a local Walgreens. Remember your sunscreen! The Tampa Bay Area offers beautiful weather and high temperatures but also high UV indexes. Come prepared.
