The Biltmore Estate encompasses over 8, 000 acres with many attractions. Biltmore House has 250 rooms which George Vanderbilt built and lived with his family. It is the largest private house in the United States. Biltmore Gardens were created by Frederick Olmsted last century and they are stunning with a natural array of flowers and trees. Biltmore Winery and River Bend Farm produce their own grapes and produce which are used for Biltmore Wines and the various restaurants at Biltmore.

The Blue Ridge Parkway or "America's Highway" is 469 miles of scenic road stretching from Maine to Georgia. Our property is close to The Parkway, with one of Asheville's 3 entrances just 5 minutes away. This leisurely drive gives access to The Folk Art Center , The Cradle of Forestry, and Mt. Mitchell. Also, take The Parkway for the scenic route to great hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking and stunning views.

Surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains and adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Arboretum is on 434 acres and offers cultivated gardens, forested hiking and biking trails. It has one of the finest bonsai collections in the SE. Their two large buildings offers additional exhibits with a café and gift shops. The WNC Farmers Market is located on 36 acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Biltmore Estate. Retail vendors offer year round selection of farm fresh produce, canned goods, honey and handcrafted items. It has two large indoor areas for everyone's convenience.

In 2014 Sierra Nevada Brewing opened their second brewery and taproom just outside of Asheville. Tucked back in the woods of Mills River, this beautiful facility offers guided tours, great food, live music and of course a huge selection of Sierra Nevada and collaboration brews.

In 2016 New Belgium Brewing opened their east coast brewery and "Asheville Liquid Center" tasting room in the heart of Asheville. Connected to the French Broad River Greenway and directly across the river from Asheville's River Arts District (or RAD), this brewery and tasting room is the perfect place to be.

Biltmore Village is located just outside the entrance of The Biltmore Estate. Once a part of the estate, this historic district is now home to some of the best shops and dining that Asheville has to offer. With many of these buildings still the original Tudor Style homes that were once lived in by employees of The Biltmore Estate, it is a must see during your visit.
