Home to Burnley FC, historic houses with grand parklands and surrounded by spectacular countryside, Burnley is a welcoming and thriving market town.
Don't Go Home Without
The Singing Ringing Tree is just over three miles from the hotel. This huge sculpture of hollow metal pipes resembles a space-age tree on top of the moors overlooking the town below. When the wind blows, it passes through the pipes to create a haunting, almost musical sound. Tuck into a home-made picnic as you ponder Pendle Hill across the green valleys of Burnley.
It's around 10 minutes' drive from the hotel to the ivy-clad stone walls of Towneley Hall, set amid manicured grounds. Take a moment of silence in the wood-panelled chapel, with its soaring cut-glass windows and carved altar. Explore the Victorian kitchen, which displays cast-iron cookware over a great stove. Other historic houses Salmesbury Hall and Gawthorpe Hall are also nearby.
Burnley is a great spot for visiting surrounding countryside steeped in History, blow the cobwebs away with a walk up Pendle Hill or go back in time with a visit to Towneley or Gawthorpe Hall. The famous Boundary Outlet is just a short drive away, for all your fashion and homeware needs
