The hotel is well placed for Duxford and has easy rail links to Cambridge. It is squeezed onto a small site with a busy road on one side and the railway station on the other; our room was actually overlooking the station platform and the trains running through the night were very disturbing. We saw a notice the next day offering earplugs, but the actual earplugs were missing - presumably used by some other guest and not replaced. The hotel restaurant (the pub next door under the same management) had an unfriendly manager, served stale beer and overpriced food. If you have a car, go elsewhere to eat; otherwise the pizzas at the hotel might be acceptable.

I feel some irritation over the fact that, only because there where an Air Show at he Duxford Airfield, the room prices where rised 76%!

We were in the UK for a family wedding but intended to travel into London on two separate days so the hotel is ideally placed, looking over the platform for the trains to Liverpool Street so about a one minute walk..super!
Easy to check-in and out and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, particularly Tim who took care of our drinks needs most efficiently and always with a smile!
We had stayed at the hotel previously so pretty well knew what to expect and were not disappointed and were very happy with out stay.
