Handily placed hotel very close to the airport with an excellent shuttle bus service. Ideal for overnight stopover when travelling to Far East or Australia.

The airport shuttle never turned up - we waited for over an hour.
We were given a twin bed in spite of booking a double bed.
The duty manager was very unprofessional and rude when I raised this with him.

Front desk staff friendly and recognized status - but absolutely no benefits as IHG Platinum on paid stay. No drink voucher, no point voucher, no room upgrade (although i believe they only have one type of room here) - nothing at all. IHG is becoming more and more of a joke with treatment like this of their Platinum members.
Room was okay, typical HIX. Bathroom not properly cleaned, shower cabin full of stains. Poor/hard towels.
Extremely noise sensitive - I could hear everything on the hallway AND my next door room. I could hear their TV the whole night and the volume was at 'normal' level. Really annoying when you try to get some sleep for a 5 AM wake up for a flight.
Internet free, but poor speed. Bar service very slow and understaffed. Took ages to get the attention of staff. Food was okay for a snack.
Shuttle driver extremely rude, never encountered anything like this. He got very upset at me that I did not tell him I had to go Terminal 1 - as he asked people whether they wanted to go to Terminal 2, and I did not respond (as my destination was T1, not T2) - only those with Terminal 2 flights obviously responded. I thought the shuttle would just to T3-T2-T1 - how am I supposed to know that, he never asked me anything. They should get rid of this driver - the way he spoke to me was unacceptable.
Value ok for Dubai - but the negative experiences I had will make me choose another hotel next time.
