Arrived very late (early morning), and was offered a choice of rooms as I had stayed there many times previously. Staff attentive and supplied extra milk and coffee knowing I was working in the room the following day. Breakfast basic but totally adequate, clean, displayed well, hot and plenty of it. Room had a sink plug missing in the bathroom and was supplied the same morning. Also the heating didn't work, and was supplied an electric fire immediately upon arrival once I had phoned to reception. The staff are always welcoming and smile a lot - helps with the arrival process and always ask if there is anything else they can help with - like extra coffee and milk sachets for the room. Overall this is an excellent hotel for the price and location.

My second time at this Holiday Inn Express. Cheerful helpful staff, good clean functional rooms and a great night's sleep. Really is just what is needed and at a good value price. The hotel is minutes from East Croydon Station with it's high frequency train service to London(It is Travelcard Zone 5) so great value if you are doing tourist things, or for meetings in Central London. Maybe the breakfast could offer a few more choices but overall I'm very satisfied and will be back.

One of the two lifts was broken.
The room smelt. The room temperature management didn't work.
The bathroom was tatty and I was given very poor information about leaving my car outside to offload, thus receiving a parking ticket. The information provided for car parking options was poor and insufficient.
