Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SLT_01 A Good nights stay at a superior hotel
The most important people in the world enter through the front door of the Holiday Inn Express at Golders Green, London.
Who are these people?
The customers who stay there. A frequent business traveller such as myself rates a hotel by the quality of the service provided by the staff.
The quality of the room, the attentiveness of the staff, and their desire to assist. Solve a problem before it happens.
Get these few pointers right then your customer retention will shoot up.
Altitude is determined by attitude.

I use this hotel once a year to attend an event in central London. the standard of service and attention detail are exemplary. It is not one of the latest specification HIE hotels, but it is well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chrissy93 Lovely Hotel, clean and modern
It is a lovely hotel, the breakfast variety was endless and great that it is included in the price. I do wish you could pay upfront upon booking for the room. It is a bit of a pain with deposits on arrival and paying at the end of the stay etc... most hotels now a days let you pay for the room upon booking and then pay for extra if you have them when you check out. Especially as our stay was for business and we told everyone the rooms were paid for but the reception kept asking our business guests for the card to pay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Traveller to London Unpleasant experience in London
I made a reservation for 7 nights of stay at this hotel. My wife had a special medication that had to be kept in a refrigerator so at the time of reservation I made the request to have a fridge in our room and they assured us that would be taken care of and when we check in the fridge will be in the room. After a long flight we arrived in London and at the hotel to our surprise we were told that they could not place a fridge in our room. I remind them how they had promised to do that and that my wife's medication would be spoiled. The reaction of the staff was quite rude and they simply said they could not do anything and we had to come back the next day!! Fortunately, we managed to stay the night with our friends who were kind enough to accommodate that for us. We returned the following day and the room that they had arranged for us was quite a mess; a dirty carpet, a worn out coach and the small fridge they had placed in the room was dented, dirty inside, hardly functional and old. The staff had no explanation except excuses. Another bad experience ewe had was with the staff in the dining area during the breakfast. They were rude and unprofessional. Another bad expense was that on the forth night of our stay, our room cards were canceled and we could not get to our room when we returned from dinner. When we approached the front desk, instead of an apology for the mistake they had made, they accused us that that our cards had been canceled because we had kept them close to our cell phone!! I cannot say enough the bad expense we had which made this the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel. We have been an HHonor member for over 20 years and we were hoping that we could diversify our portfolio of hotel memberships by giving it a try and stay at Intercontinental Hotels during our international trips, which we make 1-2 each year. However, frankly, this experience made us rethink that.
