I've stayed at a few Holiday Inn Expresses lately and am very impressed. The Milton Keynes one is no exception - a very good hotel, and excellent value for money.
The location is on the outskirts, but no problem at all if you drive. There is loads of parking around the hotel, and a Harvester opposite, which could be handy.
The hotel staff were all friendly and efficient, and the room was comfortable and clean, with a huge bed - much bigger than I usually find in a Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast is the usual limited Express buffet, but perfectly adequate to fill you up in the morning, not just quite a full English...
Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Comfortable hotel on the edge of a business park. Relatively easy to find off the MK dual carriageway system. There is plenty of parking (shared with the Harvester pub), but I was surprised how many cars were there, resulting in a walk. OK in the dry, but little cover if it is raining. Retail park just up the road has a variety of restaurants, if you don't want to use the Harvester adjacent to the hotel.
Front desk welcome was good and room easy to find. Room was nicely presented and has the standard amenities. I liked how easy it was to replenish tea/coffee making supplies at reception. Desk in the room was good for work. Internet worked well, but I did reach a limit for downloads. It is possible to purchase additional downloads. My mobile signal was also quite weak in the room and I had to go outside to phone.
Breakfast was well stocked and I grabbed a goody bag from reception to eat on the go. Reception has a range of sandwiches for purchase during the day.
Overall, comfortable HI Express with very pleasant and helpful staff.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, room is clean and tidy. Easy access to M1 going north or down south to London. Near the hotel, Willen Lake is only 2 minutes walk away with beautiful scenery. Having a walk or jogging round the lake in the early morning then enjoy the self service breakfast in the resturant.
