Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by noise on 3rd night. As usual we had the best of service from the staff . We were most upset when on our third and last night at the hotel we experienced noise from the next room ( 119 ) the people in the room were very noisy and at 4am in the morning returned to the room and slammed the door so hard that it woke both of us up. the other person who was with the occupants of room (119) then started to try the handle of our door but then went on his way to his own room only to return early in the morning to start banging on (119) door. this once again woke us up and this was all we needed as we then had a long journey home to Plymouth which was very upsetting as my husband had hardly had any sleep.We informed the young girl on the reception desk of the noise but she was obviously inexperienced in these matters and only apoligised for the noise. A part refund or a free night would have been acceptable but even this was not offered. We stay in this hotel a lot but will have to reconsider this in the future if we do not get some sort of compensation for this most upsetting incident. 29 March 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and clean room Overall the room was pleasant and clean and comfortable, the only issue was immediately after checking-in, whereby I was given a room that was already occupied with a sleeping occupant. I feel that this could be seen as a security risk, also, not impressed with lack of room service. 25 March 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service as always We stay regularly at this hotel and it rarely disappoints. This stay was relaxing and comfortable and the only reason I didn't give an 'Excellent' score for quality of sleep was because I always find the rooms a bit too warm and I am a particularly poor sleeper anyway. However, my wife and daughter slept like logs (much to my irritation!!) Despite the fact that we were advised to get to breakfast earlier if possible because the hotel was full, we arrived at about 9.30am to find plenty of food available, clean tables and friendly staff, who were very attentive and chatty. Overall, this was an excellent stay (as we have experienced in every Holiday Inn we stay at) and would recommend this hotel to anyone. 25 March 2015

Adequate breakfast - a little more variety would have made it outstanding. Filter coffee would have been preferred to the machine variety. 19 March 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly helpful staff. Room clean but tired. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. No problems at all with staff. The room and soft furnishings were clean but the general visual appearance of the room was it was tired, overused and in need of a facelift. this was noticeably so when I compare it to your competitors standard of accommodation on offer in the same price range. I stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago and the decline in the room general standard was noticeable as soon as I walked into it. It would not stop me staying there again but this is an objective observation comparing the room with other providers in the range. 16 March 2015
