Art lovers should not miss the Von der Heydt Museum. The art museum was founded in 1902 as the municipal museum in Elberfeld. The museum's collection includes art from the 16th century to the present day. Impressionism and Expressionism are the focal points. Here you will find 3,000 paintings, 500 sculptures and around 30,000 graphics and photos.

The green zoo in Wuppertal is one of the oldest and most traditional zoos in Germany. The zoo is picturesquely situated on a slope. Here you will find wide meadows, large ponds and an old stock of trees. It is one of the most scenic facilities of its kind. A lot has been invested here. Animal husbandry is one of the most modern in Europe. 3500 animals from all continents are here at home.

The Wuppertal Suspension Railway is simply legendary. Opened on March 1st, 1901, it still transports 85,000 passengers a day. There is no traffic jam here. Instead, a completely new, exciting driving experience. Drive at 60 km/h over the heads and streets on a 13.3 km route with a total of 20 stops. The journey between Oberbarmen and Vohwinkel takes at least 30 minutes.
