Alecia at the front desk was helpful and attentive. The staff reflected positively on the Holiday Inn Express brand. Room was clean and comfortable. February 5, 2016

The hotel was comfortable, our room was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast offerings were good - variety and choices were abundant. I enjoyed my meals there. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Experience I booked this hotel for work a month or so in advance. I arrived a day early. I arrived at this beautiful hotel with exhaust and excitement as I was going to be here for a week and it was a 1200 mile drive for me. I had told the clerk that I had another reservation for tomorrow for the week so if possible could I please have a room I could stay in. With nothing being said I assumed she didn't know what I meant. She gave me my key pack as I was complimenting her on how beautiful the lobby was. I was shocked that I wasn't offered any welcome amenity or was recognized as a member. I also was told "nothing" about the hotel. I had to ask her where the elevator was. The next morning I seen a receipt under my door knew I had to re-pack and move. Feeling let down I jumped in the shower to get my day started and when I reached for my shampoo there was a set of used eye lashes. I was seriously gagging. That is down right nasty! After my shower I went down to the desk to let them know which room I was in and that I had another reservation and for the week. He said I had to move and I asked for a room close to the one I was in because I had already unpacked everything. He was kind and found me a room close. As I was moving my things from one room to another I came to my room and it was locked, confused as to why I assumed I bumped it. I went down to the desk and got another key for the room I was moving out of and got back to that room to see that someone had been in my room. It was a man because the toilet seat was up and my receipt was gone. Confused and overwhelmed I walked over to my new room and called the desk to let them know that while I was moving my things someone was in my room and they took my receipt that in fact I didn't lock the door behind me that while I was moving my things someone slipped into that room. They said the GM would roll the cameras and see. I told them I was not happy that someone has my name and address that was on my receipt. They apologized and said that the GM would be in touch. After a bit a Housekeeper with a wonderful personality came to my room to check on my phone and told me that the maintenance man rolled the tape and didn't see anyone in my room. At that point I told her then where is my receipt and why was my toilet seat up and why was a door that was locked back open? She said she didn't know but they would look again. After that experience I needed to leave a while and get some air. I went shopping at some nearby store as the hotel is really located in a wonderful place. I had gotten some black dress slacks and tried them on in my room where my phone was plugged in, work was calling and I went to sit on the edge of my bed. When I had gotten up I had noticed that the pants had made a black mark as though they had heavy dye content. Throughout the week I stayed there, my sheets were never changed once, (I know that because of the black mark on my sheets made by me). I know the housekeepers where in my room daily because they gave me a new towel each day. But, when they took the towel and the used coffee pack I never got one back, I was really let down by the whole experience at this point. I went to the Walgreen's close by to get some cold coffee because I knew I needed my morning caffeine. When I went to put them in the fridge it was filthy and it stank so bad! I could not connect to the internet at all on the 4th floor when I told the clerks throughout my stay they once said "no one else complained about it" and another said "yeah we know, sorry". Thursday morning I was talking to another guest at breakfast and said I was impressed at how many people I seen throughout my stay down in the evenings visiting. It was from that guest at that point that I learned there was a managers reception. I went up an looked in my guest service book feeling bummed that I missed out on that because I really would have enjoyed some interaction with others being away from my family for the week was quite lonely. I wasn't surprised to see that I couldn't find it in the book, and the clerks I encountered during my stay had mentioned nothing I still don't know if there really was a pool here. I do want to ad that Alicia (and I don't know if I spelled her name right) was the "only" caring staff member there. I left feeling sad that I was never offered a copy of a receipt that was taken from my first room as they knew I did not have one from my first night. Also, they knew I was at the property for one week and no one came to me one time to show any kind compassion for anything from the dirty shower to the missing receipt to asking how I was. Spending a thousand dollars to have such a experience here left me sour. Yes, your hotel has a beautiful lobby and it was recently done, but the rooms need to be cleaned much better, the customer service is by far the worse I have experienced. The quality was nothing to what an IHG Property standard is. January 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long stay...great staff I was checked in at the hotel for two weeks. Away on business is always a task when you are married with three children. It can be rather melancholy at times. Your staff made all that go away for me. I was always greeted with a smile and a genuine hello. The room was clean and in great repair. The hotel was quiet and there was a regular group of Atlanta Police Officers in the area so everyone felt safe. January 25, 2016
