Beware tax exempt employees

I checked in and submitted my TAX EXEMPTION FORM as usual, no issues. During my stay at this particular hotel, it was noisy (walls are paper thin), there were bugs in my room (mostly in the bathroom) and the fitness room is unkept, but no big deal. The issue began when I went to check out, I waited at the front desk for 7-8 mins, (no bell to ring) listening to the front desk girl going on about her personal life in the back. I said hello multiple times and on the fourth call she finally came out. There was no greeting or apology for my wait. I informed her that I was checking out, needed my invoice printed and to make sure there were no taxes added. She printed out my invoice with taxes added. I told her that I had asked her to make sure there were no taxes before she charged me out and she failed to do so and blamed the person who checked me in. She gave me a long story about the computer system and the different options for taxes. Then I asked for the taxes to be removed and she said she would need the manager and it would take some time so I said no problem, I’ll wait till you call and adjust it. Ten minutes later she said she was not able to get ahold of the manger, and was not able to adjust my invoice correctly. She assured me that she would work on it during the day and I would get a call that afternoon. I never got a call and ended up calling back and was given another excuse about why it was still not fixed. I called again on Monday and spoke to someone else and asked if she could help fix the mess the other girl caused and this girl asked me to send another tax exemption form because she couldn’t find the initial one I submitted. I told her I would not because it wasn't my fault that they lose customer documents. I asked if she could call the other girl or a manager or assistant manager, someone, anyone at this point in time and I guess that was asking for too much so I was placed on hold for a long period of time and then hung up on. I called back letting her know that she had hung up on me and she wanted to argue about how she "did not" and she placed me on hold again. Finally she said she would send me an updated invoice but would still need to speak to a manager about the incorrect charge. I asked her to call me when it had been adjusted and have the manager call me as well. To my surprise I have not heard from anyone. I ended up working out the incorrect charge with the credit card company.
The employees are incompetent, rude, disrespectful and there is no manager on duty to speak with should any issues arise. This location should look into terminating employment or retraining certain individuals there. I will no longer be staying at this location and disappointed to be a Spire member.

Stayed her with about 10 co workers most of them Spire members. I got to the hotel at 10:05 there was no pre check in paper work ( made res. One week before I got there) plus had to come back down three times because keys did not work. Second room not made up and no TP. Third room has been a nice room but the shower leaks water from behind the wall (room 120 ). Again had key problems on third day and forth day getting in from side door. I stay in hotel more than 100 nights a year. This has been the worst Holiday Inn ever. I could go on but not going to do it.

Expecting to pay much more since it was the weekend.
I recently made reservations at Holiday Inn Express
in Norman OK for a much higher price and it is for
weekday stay. Can you provide a reason for that?

Thank you Holiday Inn Express in Beeville! They did their best to provide the best experience possible for myself, my bride, our family and friends for our wedding weekend stay! I recommend this place to everyone traveling through Beeville. Excellent breakfast, pool area, fitness, business center, and comfortable beds to sleep on. The rooms were cool and clean. Staff was professional and courteous.

Hotel is far from any dining options on a weekday night. Hotel carpeting is showing age and many paint drops from last freshen. Parking is adequate. Room is good size and surfaces are clean. Price is high medium. Price should be lower as that area is now showing signs of being bypassed for business.
