Checked in after noon on Thursday. Immediately noticed the a/c was making an awful sound. I called the front desk and could barely ask for another room when she hastily said "nope, we are all booked up". I know they were BOOKED up, but not FILLED up (yet). Continued making awful sounds for 3 days. Friday night and Saturday night we were not even able to run the air at night due to it being so noisy. It did cool properly, but when it would cycle off, it made such a loud noise that it would wake you and the window even shook when the unit shut off. I would stay here again ONLY because of the location but I will not stay in room 316 anymore.

I always stay here when I go visit my daughter at SNU. The staff is always nice. The only problem I have with this is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I don't like to sit on the toilet and see hair around the edges of the floor or in the tub. I have stayed here several times and this is a constant. It just makes me feel dirty to see other people's hair all over the floor. Also, when trying to leave with our full bags, the housekeeping staff was sitting outside the side door on the 3 foot step where we leave, and they were smoking. They did not move, they did not offer to move, so I had to squeeze through them AND the cloud of smoke. Very rude if you ask me. This is the type of thing that makes a lasting impression on people. I don't smoke. I don't want to walk through it and it looks tacky to have your staff right outside the door smoking, especially when the guest is required to walk through it. Why not have a smoking area for them? Ugh....gross! If there was a closer hotel I would give it a try to compare. The beds are pretty good. Some rooms are better than others. The front desk staff is always nice. Coffee is available 24/7. Located close to the college so that is very appealing.

One of few places that doesn't provide a refrigerator, which is needed when keeping items cold on a road trip.
"Pancake machine" is a cheap substitute for waffles.
Weekly change of internet password is unusual, and should be pointed out at check-in, not discovered when it shuts off.
