This was my first time at this location. We normally stay at another chain, but it was booked. This HI had a great price and had a room available, plus it was close to my daughter's house, so I made a reservation. I got to the hotel around 9:00PM. The parking lot is not very big at all, and there were quite a few large trucks taking up more than one space, in addition to a bus taking up several spaces. I couldn't find a space. Finally found the last one available but had to squeeze to get into that one, as the car next to it did not leave enough room. When I told the front desk person about it and about all those large vehicles taking up multiple spaces, the response I got was that I was lucky I had a reservation because they didn't hardly have any rooms left. The room I was given was literally right outside the elevator doors, which disappointed me. I think that, if you make a reservation in advance, you should not have to take "leftovers" when it comes to rooms. I was exhausted, so I immediately got ready for bed. As I got ready to crawl in, I suddenly realized that there were no comforters and no blankets on the 2 Queen beds in my room..........only sheets. There were none that I could use stored on the shelf in the closet, either. I called the front desk about it. The question I got was, "There's nothing on the bed that is a different color from the sheets?" I am 58 years old, not 3. I know what a comforter is, and I know what blankets are. He told me he would have to look for something and bring it to me. He came to my room with 2 down blankets and dropped one on each bed (still folded up) and left. so, I made up the bed with those and again got ready to go to sleep. I was going to be able to sleep in a little bit the next morning, so I decided to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door.........only there was not one in my room. Had to go to bed hoping that housekeeping would not come around too soon. I had booked the room for 2 nights, so, after being in meetings all day, I returned to the room looking forward to having an actual comforter on the bed ( or something else of a different color.....a throw, duvet, etc.), but, no, my bed was made using the 2 down blankets that were there from the night before. In addition to that, no one emptied the trash can in the room nor the one in the bathroom. I would assume that would be part of the basic cleaning included with the price of the room, especially since the one in the bedroom was full of trash. Went to bed exhausted again but still no "Do Not Disturb" sign. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:30AM, despite the fact that I was checking out that morning and that check out was not until 11, but since I couldn't use a "Do Not Disturb" sign, and since they evidently can't wait until they know a person has checked out, she knocked. So I got up and went to the door, and she was not there, although the cart was. I called out in both directions down the hall but got no answer. Maybe she had jumped on the elevator since it was only a couple of feet from my door. Although this facility is pretty and in a good location, and although the amenities appeared to be nice, I was very disappointed. Haven't had an experience like that in this caliber hotel in a long time.....if ever.

The staff which served us at the hotel were among the best I have encountered. The woman at the front desk was friendly and efficient . The breakfast was very good and even included gluten free bagels and muffins. The woman in charge of the breakfast area was outstanding. She greeted us with a big smile and was super friendly. She efficiently cleared away plates and trash as if we were in a nice restaurant and kept the tables and serving area clean and orderly. Our room was quiet even though we were on the highway side.

This is a really nice and comfortable place to stay. There is a really good restaurant just across the parking lot from the hotel. The only downside to staying here are really minor, one being that it's easy to turn around before you reach the hotel because it is SOMEWHAT hidden. Simply turn at the Holiday Inn Express sign, go to the end of the road then turn right, this will lead into the parking lot. Also, the parking is somewhat tight here. I had a 28 foot trailer and had a little trouble finding a place to park it. But overall this is a great place to stay.
