Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great Rooms, Terrible Communication I recently traveled with 6 middle school students for a tournament. Upon reserving *a* double room, I was told that they had a connected room for me, and I was told one price. I did not realize until after being charged that the double room was actually two separate rooms for the quoted price for each room per night. Instead of admitting that they did not communicate this properly, two different employees (one being the front desk attendant, the other being the GM) disrespectfully told me, "this isn't a buy-one-get-one-free," when I tried to explain to them the miscommunication. The rooms were comfortable, but what the front desk and GM failed to understand is that I was under the impression that I was getting charged one price for *a* connecting room. I was never given a total price for two rooms. No one ever communicated that the price would be per night for each room. The paper that I signed upon checking in said the single, quoted price; there was nothing printed about having to pay for two separate rooms. Turns out that upon checking in, the front desk woman did not have me sign the second paper for the second room. This is further evidence that it was never communicated I was paying for two separate rooms. The GM told me that signing these check-in papers aren't really "mandatory," so me not having signed the second paper doesn't even matter. I am a teacher trying to take my team of 6 students to their tournament on a budget. I was already going outside of budget a little to stay here. I never would have booked at Holiday Inn Express Brentwood had it been communicated that I was reserving two rooms for a total of ___. I am extremely disappointed by Holiday Inn Express's lack of clarity and then the subsequent, disrespectful and subpar customer service that did not lead to a satisfactory solution to this miscommunication. It was however, slightly difficult to find with the GPS since you have to drive through a few parking lots to get to it. I would encourage people to stay here if they do not want to be in downtown Nashville and have business in the Brentwood area. About a 10-15 minute ride to downtown. April 7, 2016
