Wonderful room and view, excellent pool, friendly and helpful staff and great location were all reasons we loved our stay. There is a free trolley to historic downtown Charleston right next to the hotel. I would come back and stay at this Holiday Inn Express in the future. June 23, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome staff! Deirdra was really great when we arrived at the Holiday Inn Express in Charleston. She was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She was able to tell me right away some places she recommends and even provided us with a map and the route to take. Our room was really nice and modern, and I LOVED that they provide different pillow options and label them so you know what they are. The bathroom products were great. My only suggestion is that they re-pave the parking lot, and provide lighting outside of the closet so you can use the big mirror in the room. June 15, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Better Places to Stay in Charleston The rooms were clean, but need some work. The air conditioning never really cooled the room, but it wasn't uncomfortable. The biscuits at breakfast were the best part. The staff needs to have a better handle on refilling, I spent about 15 minutes waiting for biscuits to come out. We had an issue with the staff and our dog. Apparently, they placed us (and our dog that they were fully aware of) on a non-pet friendly floor, then acted like it was our fault. This hotel isn't in a convenient location to get around Charleston, and compared to all of the other hotel options, it definitely didn't meet expectations for how much we paid for it. June 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, good location, little pricey Clean rooms and baths. Friendly staff. Location was good Barking dog was annoying and the staff couldn't seem to resolve the problem --not sure why. River view was just a smidge of the water. Not what I would consider a view. Breakfast did not offer the waffles/pancakes and the scrambled eggs were terrible. Other selection was fine. Felt the price was high for one night. May 31, 2016
