Booked the hotel thru experience with previous Holiday Inn Express locations. Totally exceeded my expectations. Great downtown location, close to shops, restaurants, casino, transit lines to suburbs and airport, walking distance to three major sports venues and Cleveland city center. Interesting rooms due to location in historical building, Room was quiet inside and wood floors conditioned sound from going to lower level rooms . Very nice view of downtown Cleveland from room windows.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times before and always had no complaints and always loved it, but not this time and we paid a lot of money for a king suite with sofa bed which is the room style we like.We stayed in room 1104 it had gouges in the hardwood floors not just a few but a lot, there was no coffee table or side tables just a couch we had to use our cooler as a coffee table. We went to the casino and ran back before the game and found water leaking all over our bathroom counter leaking from an overhead light! We know this isn't their fault but just added to our disappointment.. You would think they would have room checks to see ovious problems like the floor.

The room is very large (40% larger than other hotel rooms) and clean. The beds are comfortable, but the heating is noisy at night. Recommend buying the daily parking for $15 if you drive, because it is hard to find a street parking spot nearby.
we had a minor issue. We had stayed two nights. On the second day, we had our keys replaced twice. But it was not a big deal. Hotel staff are very nice and friendly.
