For the third consecutive year this HIexpress was great. Jodi at the front desk and Cindy in the office as well as the entire staff made our extended weekend very enjoyable. We are looking forward to again staying next year and enjoying the fun in the Commerce, Ga area.

We stayed here an event which meant we would return to the hotel in the evening between 10:45pm and 11:00pm. After the Friday afternoon session we returned to the hotel at around 4:25pm. We found two trucks parked taking up 15 parking spaces but were able to park our car. We were concerned whether we would be able to find a space when we returned in the evening since many others were also attending the dance so my wife asked at reception where we could park if the spaces were all occupied since 15 spaces were taken up by the trucks. She was told trucks were allowed to park there and that 'it is what it is'. No helpful suggestion was offered. She had the impression that the hotel staff didn't really care if we could park or not. In the event we left the dance as soon as it finished and did find a space but we were not happy with the attitude of the person at reception. Next morning at breakfast many items were running out and my wife had to wait 20 minutes for the decaff coffee flask to be refilled. Overall this is not the best HIE we have stayed at. The management needs to decide if it is a hotel or a truck stop.

The hotel was very clean, properly maintained and provided a good nights sleep. I do however have extreme problems with the fact that our entire stay was charged to the card (our debit card) that was used to originally reserve the room BEFORE we even arrived. We had no intentions on using this card for our stay and provided the correct card at check in. The entire amount (over $400) was put on hold in our bank account and not cleared until the following Tuesday. We checked in on the Thursday before. This problem created an extreme hardship on us financially during our entire stay. The website does not advise that your card you reserve your room with will be charged the entire amount of your stay before you even arrive. It only states you must cancel your reservation prior to the reserved day or you will be charged 1 night stay.
