Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Trip Hotel was under renovations. The front desk staff was nice and easy to check in. The hallways had a funny smell mixed with old smoke?? I couldn't tell if the room had already been renovated, was still being renovated, or had already been renovated. The paint job was horrible. I had to ask the breakfast staff person for several things. She wasn't very friendly. May 27, 2015

This was an unplanned trip and the first night I had to stay in a smoking room, which was horrid, but that was all they could accomodate and was not the fault of the hotel. The next night was great. The third night was not good at all. The room was on the first floor and they started their renovation work (much needed) bright and early, people were loud going to the breakfast area and the night before very loud going to the pool. If that wasn't bad enough there was hair in one of the beds and the bathroom was a hot mess. Rusty tub and almost no water pressure in the shower. Corners were not as clean as the rest of the area. If I stay at this particular hotel again I would refuse the 1st floor. Of note, the fourth night they didn't have a room for me and I had to stay at a competitor right behind this hotel. The room was cheaper, the bed and pillow were much better, and overall it was cleaner. The grass was definitely greener. May 17, 2015

The staff was also very helpful when I had a problem with the exercise equipment. I called the front desk and a staff member was there within seconds. The problem was me not the equipment.
