We stayed at this hotel for a volleyball tournament weekend. Unfortunately, the motion sensored room lights kept going on all night long the first night of our stay even when we were laying in our beds. All four in our party, including my daughter, who needed a good night's sleep for a full day of volleyball the next day, had a TERRIBLE night's sleep with the lights on all night. I called the front desk after midnight to get assistance to shut the motion sensor off. They did not know how to fix the problem other than to unscrew the two ceiling lamps and remove the bulbs (but then that would eliminate any option to turn on the lights when needed#. And the hotel was completely booked, so changing rooms in the middle of the night was not an option #and would not have been desired either). Although the situation was fixed for our second night, management did not voluntarily offer any compensation to reconcile the situation. Even after suggesting that some type of reconciliation would be appropriate, they offered only to reduce our first night's rate. I would think that any hotel concerned with pleasing their customers would have been more pro-active and willing to make things right to ensure that we would consider returning in the future. I'm very disappointed on how our situation was handled.

The Holiday Inn Express East, was everything I needed on my unplanned stay. When I walked into the hotel the front desk staff was very pleasant, the atmosphere was extremely presentable. That's what first caught my attention. After, going to the room this made my stay complete, the room was clean and spacious and there were amenities like the refrigerator, microwave and a desk
