Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by PROBABLY NOT RETURN On A POSITIVE note,the rooms were CLEAN and the FREE breakfast was amazing. The NEGATIVE side of our stay was the dog left in the room accross the hall . T he barking went on all the while we were in our rooms. NOT FAIR to the animal or the other paying patrons!!! The pool and hot tub were very nice ,except when the hot tub was not in motion ,there was visible sand and dirt in the corners of the tub.We did mention to the counter clerk upon leaving about the dog barking and she said it was a local person who was staying with them while his house was being remodeled. ( that was the only response ) LAST BUT NOT LEAST,we returned from a day of shopping on our last of 3 night stay,,,,to find no parking spaces left,not one. We parked in the wheel chair spot and notified the male front desk clerk of our situation.We were told if our car was towed,they would not be responsible and that we should park at the MOTEL on the grounds nxt door.REALLY ??? after a 3 night stay ,we should now walk or jump a fence to park at a different hotel. I THINK NOT :( OVERALL,I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. February 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service! I've stayed at this location before and have always had a good experience. This time I would like to commend Vincent on the front desk as providing excellent service. At check-in there were several customers in line and he maintained a very professional manner, acknowledging each of us while moving the check-in process along and answering several phone calls simultaneously. Later when I spoke to him about a particular dining establishment, he went the extra mile to call and ask about their hours of operation. I also enjoyed the hospitality of the "happy hour". The lady who served us was also very friendly and it was nice to see the selection of snack options change from night to night. The property has been undergoing remodeling and looked very nice. There was nothing except some paint buckets in the stairwell that would have indicated work was going on and I experienced no issue with noise or construction traffic. When I'm in Madison for business, I'll return again to this property. January 27, 2014

After a very rough 2 days filled with unexpected expenses and ungrateful people Vincent was the first person that didn't make me feel like I should close my wallet and walk out. In a showcase of everything I expect from the Holiday Inn he treated me better then a couple of 5 star hotels. With a quick wit and a happy go lucky smile he pointed out a few local spots and took care of all the paper work very quickly. January 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Madison many times over the last year. In that time the front desk has always been staffed by Vincent for at least one of the nights I have been in town. He always recognizes me immediately when I walk in the door. He knows my name and my face and always provides great service in anyway he can. The hotel itself is very nice, especially with the renovations. Beds are very comfortable and I did not hear any excess noise! As always, the breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express is second to none and you cannot beat the location of this hotel when visiting Madison. This is the hotel that I always recommend to anyone when they are coming through this area and no one has been disappointed yet! Keep up the great work! January 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room renovations good, Safety bad Hotel was undergoing renovations, but the upper level was complete. Room was very clean & had all new furnishings, which was very nice. However, the room had a serious safety issue. While sitting on the bed I moved a little and the nightstand light suddenly went out. Upon further inspection I found the plugin for the light had been knocked loose from the bed moving. The boxspring of the bed was pushed up to the wall with the top of the boxspring touching the bottom of the wall outlet, thus with the light plugged in to the wall socket, the mattress on top of the boxspring could not be pushed flush with the wall. So every time the bed moved, it also moved the power plug. When I pushed the plug into the outlet, the outlet sparked. Seeing how it was in very close proximity to the sheets on the bed, it was a serious fire hazard. I did report this to the attendant at the front desk, and even showed her a picture of the hazard. I hope she reported it to her manager, but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't. The attendant didn't seem to alarmed at what I showed her. I absolutely would not stay at this hotel unless assurances can be given that this problem is fixed. December 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Away From Home I would not stay anywhere else when coming to Madison Wisconsin. I stopped in the hotel during my last trip to Wisconsin, to see if I needed to go online to make reservations for a stay a few days later, but the desk clerk not only remembered me from my last stay a tear earlier, but booked me on the spot whit great rates. It is staff like that insures I will stay only at the Holiday Inn, especially in Madison Wisconsin. The room is always comfortable and the staff is always helpful and friendly. It is also an easy access to the freeway. December 11, 2013
