Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Need to upgrade amenities Hotel is generally clean, but rooms do not have refrigerators like the other Holiday inn expresses in the area. The BIG issue is the televisions. outdated small screens, with limited hd capability and a banner that says they will be losing most of their channels unless they upgrade to better service. The staff tried to play this off as a holiday inn issue, but I reminded them that is up to the franchisee who owns the hotel to choose their tv provider. by being cheap on this, I will not return until its upgraded. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Why am I a Priority Club Member For the past few visits, I am not greeted as a Priority Club Member...Im not offered the warm bottle of water or the 500 points....the last stay in Matthews resulted in a room with dirty carpet, no fridge, no microwave at 137.00 per night when I reserved at a government rate. My room was across from the indoor pool and chlorine smell was overpowering but I was so tired from a whilrwind of two week of travel, I just went to bed. The plastic bacon was horrendous. The friendly staff has transformed this well manicured establishment to a place that makes you feel "right at home." One of the key staff members is Ann, the breakfast chef. She is a master at preparing a tasty meal. June 22, 2015
