Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Handicap accessibility There were a lot of good things about this hotel. However, I will address the convenience for a handicapped individual. Since there are so many types of handicaps, it is difficult to meet all the needs. First, getting in the doors--automatic doors would be helpful, Going into the room, a simple wooden wedge would have been helpful to hold the door while wheeling or walking in with a cane. These doors could cause a fall. I liked the short distance to the handicap rooms. Secondly, the height of furniture can be a problem. It should be about the height of the handicapped toilet. My husband could not get out of the chair without help. The bed was quite high. (I'd recommend a split mattress that is half the size.) He really had nowhere comfortable to sit. Swivel, rocking, or rolling furniture is a no-no. The shower was great for my husband. However, if a person's arm is paralyzed on the left, it might be impossible to get up. The towel rack (rm. 119) would be the handiest thing to grab--there should be a grab bar. He didn't get into the pool due to time, but I was happy to see the lift. Staff was really helpful. The only issue we had was when I was packing Monday morning, my husband walked to breakfast on his own. No one offered to help him--his language is very limited from the stroke--and he was still sitting with nothing to eat at the table. Two staff members were sitting at the table talking. If there is a sign for "service available", I would expect them to at least talk to him. Since I know the manager reads the reviews, I would hope he might communicate any ideas to headquarters. It is not easy being a caregiver, and every little thing you do does help. I would say more, but these are the highlights. Thanks. September 2, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place to stay Area was surprisingly quiet. A/c fan stayed on in cold position. Bed was comfortable. They do not have blankets only the comforter so if you like a blanket, bring your own. Great place other the the blanket issue. Pool was not too cold. Whirlpool was nice and open late. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel is little outdated and rather expensive for what you get As a sprire elite member I would have expect a little more than what I received. Status means nothing at this hotel, checking was sub-average, rooms seem outdated with maybe a few upgrades. My room had a masking smell to it that was not pleasant. During one of the mornings I believe the breakfast lady never showed up and they ran out all the hot food and coffee. The only positives were that the beds were clean and comfortable, hotel is near restaurants and highway, and I was greeted nicely by whome appeared to be the maintenance guy. August 23, 2015

This was the first impression and seems objectionable. Once inside the impression change. The bathroom - detail to cleanliness is always questionable and mold and mildew appear in bathtub enclosure. ( this is apparent in most hotels) and continues to be the most prevalent. August 16, 2015
