Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn I've stayed in This was the dirtiest room I've been in in a while, and I stay at holiday inns usually twice a week. The bathroom was not clean, there was hair everywhere and the corners of the shower were nasty. The grout on the floor was almost black (supposed to be white). The carpet was dingy and ripped in many places. The bed also had a few hairs in it. Not to mention my mini fridge was full of old food from previous stays! I will be back in town this week and will not be staying here. June 10, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by remodeling We had a large church group who had reserved a block of rooms. Although the individual rooms were nice and clean, the lobby and dining area were being remodeled during our stay. For the sake of those with breathing problems, it would have been courteous to notify us that there would be construction dust in the common areas. For the sake of those who would have used the pool, it would have been courteous to notify us that the pool would be closed during our stay because of the remodeling project. June 7, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Busy and just need to slow down a little... I travel weekly and had a not so great experience. At check in, I had to wait 3 deep while one person checked in and another was working on the other computer. At check in - didn't recognize as a platinum member so I lost out on those great rewards (bottle of water or 500 points). I asked if they had any upgrades available and was told NO. Got my key and went up and opened the door to notice that someone was already in the room with their belongings. Went back down and instead of just fixing the room issue I had to listen to them make excuses of roof leaks. Guess what though - those upgrades that weren't available??? - became available. They were busy but all they need to so is concentrate and pay attention - things would run much easier. I do have to let you know they did discount my room $10. May 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extended Weekend We traveled with our family for a funeral. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was extremely accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. The manager on staff is a hard working man. He was there ALL the time, and still managed to always have a smile on his face. The house keeping staff was so used to seeing us, they were so polite and ready to meet our needs. One of the girls found out it was my sons birthday, and she gave him birthday balloons found in another guests room (who had checked out). It was a small, but incredibly BIG gesture - one that our entire family loved. Thanks for a very nice stay. April 12, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A Changing Property Always a really good place to stay in the past, but it is changing. The casino crowd appears to be taking over the place. Buses of folks with casino destinations are now staying there--at least on the weekends. The internet service also unnecessarily blocks certain sites such as facebook and flickr. I am going to seek another place for lodging--even the nearby Bonefish restaurant was inferior on this experience. Maybe this was just not a good weekend. April 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Only 1 suggestion Your sign in our room indicates if we forgot something, you can provide similar item. However, you did not have a lint brush, roller, or similar object. I recommend you pick up a few of these to have on hand. Luckily my appearance was not an extremely important factor. I too will add one of these items to my travel bag. I can count on HIExpress to provide excellent accommodations & good healthy choices (plus those awesome cinnamon rolls) for breakfast. The lady working hard to keep the breakfast food supplied and the area neat was especially nice. March 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A little disappointed Hotel is new and very clean. However, the staff is not up to par with other HI Express staff I am used to. They are nice enough but they have a lot to learn about professionalism and customer service. I was never greated as a IHG member, I tried to check-in an hour early but couldn't, the front entrance was covered with employees smoking, and I was woken up several times during the night by kids running up and down the halls. My family and I had an early morning appointment and the breakfast was late being served. Sorry to complain, but this was not a positive experience. March 15, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Average Hotel Stay Stayed for a wedding in Montgomery. The block rate was good, but the price is increased by about 12-15% taxes on top, which I'm sure is the same everywhere. The room was as clean as any hotel. The coffee pot was missing a top, but it didn't affect the use. The front desk employee was missing for the first 5-10 minutes when we attempted to check in, which caused a line to form, but she was very helpful when I misplaced my room key. The cleaning staff were very courteous and nice. They also helped us during the key misplacement stated above. Breakfast was typical hotel arrangement. Nothing overtly good or bad to say here. My only real complaint was that the pillows were too soft, but hey, I guess I'll just bring my own next time. Good stay overall. March 12, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay But Not my best stay at this hotel. I love this location for its large swimming pool. However, pool was not in use on this stay. This was one of my reasons for choosing this location even though my business was downtown. My air conditioner quit working properly on second night of stay, making it a little warm in room (fortunately it was only a warm night in February rather than August). Beyond these two issues, this is a very good hotel and a great hotel for the value and rate I was given. Just check the air conditioner in room 208 before you settle in. February 23, 2014
