Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Less than expected I have always had decent service and accommodations at most Holiday Inn Express properties. This trip proved otherwise. Check-in was very efficient; however, when we got to the room it clearly had not been vacuumed with potato chip crumbs all over the carpet and dinette floor and other various debris throughout on the carpet. Yuck! Which made me question how well the rest of the room had been cleaned. When I asked the front desk for some additional towels, they could only give me two. (We asked for four). One of the two elevators was out the entire stay which made for a lot of waiting for the elevator. After a very long day around downtown, we took the shuttle over to the Grand Ole Opry for a show. The front desk ASSURED us that we would have a ride back even though we were doing the post-show tour. She even wrote it on the bottom of the shuttle sheet at the front desk. When we called for our pick up, they said "Sorry! The shuttle stopped running at 10pm. We can't come get you." So, we waited for a taxi and had to pay $10 to get back to the hotel. The next day, after another long day downtown, we got back to our room and it hadn't been serviced yet, even though we had been gone since 9am and didn't return until about 4pm. The front desk personnel were not overly outgoing/friendly. They barely acknowledged you. There were a few other minor things too. We would definitely try a different property when revisiting Nashville. August 4, 2015
