I stayed overnight on business and found the hotel comfortable and the staff polite. The room was clean and well maintained. With a TGI Fridays on site you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

On checking in I was slightly confused by the service offered!
Having stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions with no problem whatsoever i was shocked at the very poor representation of the IHG brand.
On checking in I was left standing around while two members of staff shuffled various bits of paper around, with No " sorry wont keep you waiting long " or a smile of acknowledgement!
Then I was told that I had to pay for the room on my card now, I said that I would settlement all on departure as i would be meeting clients and we were to eat and drink in the hotel that evening...............I was told this would not be possible, I would need to 1st pay for the room and then open another invoice for any other extras that could be settled in the morning before departure.....when I questioned this i was told that the hotel was under new management and he had instructions that this is the way it now had to be carried within this Hotel..........I questioned again why they would want to collect one payout now( they already had my card details) and then collect another payment the next morning for extras.......stating that i would prefer one invoice, as this is much easier to track for expenses purpose.........................I was told again....This was down to the new owners/ management of the Hotel. .....Completely nonsensical!
Thereafter the poor service continued, whereby every time we went to order a round of drinks at the bar, the lady member of staff appeared that she had better things to do than serve customers...No smile, No please and No thank- you's.....obviously this lady should not be employed within the service industry!.......Lucky enough this kind of service ceased when then the night porter( I think this was about 10.30pm) arrived and started to serve us while getting breakfast setting ready for the morning......We left for our bed about 10.45pm ...Check out staff were fine.
Not a great impression of the Hotel and a really bad impression of the IHG brand.Dont think i will return to this particular Hotel in the future.
I would suggest staff training needs to take place.
