THis hotel is just ok. Loud, not particularly clean. Beds are however very comfortable. The heating/ air conditioning system was extremely loud!

Overall my stay was good - an average Holiday Inn Express stay with a couple of missteps.
Check In - Not good. A "new" employee had difficulty checking me in and getting everything taken resolved. I was in a room at the far end of the building and asked where the best place to park, and I got the answer, "Anywhere there is an open spot." I found out the next day I could park immediately adjacent to the door at the end of the building and my room was the second door from the end. Not a good start.
Room - Solid, basic, clean room. Decent bed and clean bathroom, which are my two basic criteria.
Breakfast - Pretty standard HIE breakfast, although the pancake maker was down with a sign that said there was a "manufacturers defect" on the machine. (They seem to have a lot of excuses at this HIE.) Didn't see gravy to go with the biscuits the three mornings I was there.
Housekeeping - Very good - room was cleaned well everyday and well stocked.
Checkout - Again, the front desk "new person" had difficulty completing the check out. The person asked if I had received a bill under my door, which I had not, and, "...the report didn't print..." (again with the excuses) This was just before 7am, so the new person said the day shift person would be in at 7am. I mentioned the clock behind the counter said 7am already, and I was told the clock on the computer said 6:58am. Didn't know we were splitting hairs so carefully here... The day person walked through the front doors at 7:10am and resolved the issue in about 2 minutes.
Overall, as I said, a good stay. However, the front desk needs to have better experience or capability before being allowed to solo with customers. In addition, "I'm new," is not an excuse - if you aren't able to do the job, you shouldn't be there. That is a management issue, along with late arriving employees. I would go back again, but my expectations would be that the front desk would perform at a minimum level.

This hotel went above and beyond our expectations! Rooms were nice and clean, and were updated. Hotel desk staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating to our softball team. Thank you very much to Kelly, Alicia and Rafaela for making us feel very welcome. Gift bags to the softball players were a nice surprise. First impression when walking in was clean, smelled nice, and attentive front desk. Breakfast area offered a variety of items and was re-stocked on a timely basis. Rooms were cleaned promptly, and it was pretty quiet in the hallways and in the hotel itself. We would definitely come back to this hotel if we happen to be in another softball tournament in this area as we are from California. Thanks so much for making our stay awesome!
