Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay! We come to North Charleston often for business and by far, this hotel had the best customer service when compared to other Holiday Inns in the area. Manager special happy hour with free beer and wine from 5-7 and pancake night from 8-12 are just added bonuses! Room was little muggy but that could have been the weather. And even though I am a platinum member, I did not get a room upgrade even though they had a suite available. Other than those, we enjoyed our stay. August 27, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Customer Service! We chose this hotel because they offer the Park and Cruise Package. Everything about our stay was excellent! Justin at the Front Desk was awesome! I inquired if he knew where I could purchase an item I had forgotten. I had to explain to him what the item was because he had never heard of it. Within 5 minutes, he called my room and told me 2 places that carried it and which store had it cheaper! He went above and beyond! We were very impressed with everything about this hotel. We also liked that we could walk to the mall and restaurants. August 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Stay and Cruise The hotel was average. However, we did the stay and cruise package and will not use this property again. They do not contract with a reliable transportation company that can appropriately handle the volume to and from the port of Charleston. Hamilton Transportation is essentially a one man show and though he tries hard he just doesn't have the resources to accommodate the amount of customers. This is the hotels fault for selling this package. Beware that if you have a party of more than eight you will likely be split up going to and from the port. Also be prepared for a long wait time when you return. Finally either his a/c was broke or he didn't want to run it. We asked him to turn it on and he told us to open up the windows. That wasn't the comfortable option after waiting for him for an hour in the sun after we got off the ship. For the money, I would recommend getting a room and then driving to the port and paying for parking. Not enough savings for the hassle and the home being unprepared. August 22, 2015

The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is relaxing and the room is clean and quiet and is centrally located close to everything you would need to get to. Great job Holiday Inn Express!
