The location was easy to get to and great to head out in old city. However the rooms toward the highway are very loud.

Not pleased at all. I utilize the Holiday Inn as an IHG Spire Elite member for purposes of travel or a get away when needed. Out of all the Holiday Inn chains I've stayed with since becoming an IHG member, this was the worse for the purpose of my visit. I stayed here in 2007 when it was under an different chain but it is basically the same and the upgrade was to the appearance of the room only, not what it offered. While I did not get charged the $25 a night fee to park, it is insulting that a guest has to pay for parking when they have already paid for the room. The men hanging outside the hotel was an issue as I left for dinner (there is no restaurant inside the hotel) and coming back when it is dark and having 4-5 men in driveway 'hanging out' made me feel quite uncomfortable. If you're looking for a location to participate in activities at Penn's Landing and a bed to sleep in the place is perfect. I on the other hand had higher expectations.

WE had terrific service from the staff....they were very friendly and genuinely seemed happy to help us enjoy our stay. They made recommendations about food and things to do, helped us with the shuttle and our rental car and provided other valuable info (including dining coupons)! Hotel was nicely appointed and room was comfortable although the bathroom was barely large enough 'for you to change your mind' (let alone get prepared to go out). The only real complaint that we had was the street noise....perhaps a room not facing the river (that was our choice at the time) might be quieter.

The noise of the traffic impeded my ability to have full nights of sleep. In addition, other hotel guests were very loud. The old fashioned air/heating system was challenging to maintain a comfortable temperature. Otherwise was the basic hotel stay.

Great stay! Highly recommend. Parking was simple and convenient, staff was fantastic and the hotel was modern.

The hotel itself was good and some of the staff were very helpful and friendly. They do not have their acts together as far as bookkeeping goes though. They made multiple mistakes with our bill which was very inconvenient and took days to resolve.
