Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Scottsburg's staff a welcome treasure The staff (especially Lois and the main lady serving breakfast) are a welcome treasure at the Holiday Inn in Scottsburg. There is not a whole lot of variety of hotels in the area, but this hotel is directly off the interstate and is quiet. There is a Cracker Barrel, a mexican restaurant and a nice steak restaurant within a mile for dinner as well. My stay was for almost three weeks and honestly my sheets were never changed and my room never dusted. The water stains from my bottled water never washed from my desk. The minimum was done to prepare my room every other day...change my towels out and make my bed. The hot breakfast was excellent! They never seem to run out no matter what time you arrive! Lois at the front desk will do ANYTHING she possibly can for you. She understands the traveler is weary and does her best to assist you. She even brings fresh flowers in to the front desk every other day. They make you feel like you are at home! It definitely brightened up my day! They have a very nice facility to workout and all the equipment is in good working condition. I just didn't have the time to use it! The pool area is very nice and clean too. Overall, a great place. My only complaint was the cleanliness of my room. I'm glad I am a really clean person! LOL! April 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great staff and welcoming to our dogs. We were very pleased with the friendliness and welcoming attitude towards us and our dogs. We travel quite a bit and have found, with good reason, that having dogs with us is a burden. These are show dogs and I won't fly them, so put up with the rudeness at other Hotels/Motels. I understand why, but at this Hotel the staff were so welcoming and understanding. Many people abuse Hotels/Motels with their pets., We do not, but pay the price for those who do. We pick up after them, don't allow them on beds and are very careful not to have them intrude on other guests. You might consider giving a discount to pets who have passed the Canine Good Citizen test (CGC) thru AKC or other organizations. It is a title and can be proved. It shows that the dogs are under control and "should" be excellent guests. April 16, 2015
